Important information regarding the application process:
DAJD’s criminal background investigation is confidential and 100% comprehensive, including the FBI, NCIC, WACIC and all local governments. Full disclosure of all juvenile and adult criminal history, regardless of disposition, is mandatory. Anything less than full disclosure will automatically result in your application being denied.
Read the application thoroughly and complete it in its entirety. Plan to allow for one to two hours to fully complete the application. The completed application must be submitted and processed prior to scheduling an interview or orientation training.
Processing will take 6-8 weeks after you submit the completed application. Unanswered questions or giving partial answers will delay processing.
After your application has been approved, you will be required to complete an orientation training. The Volunteer Coordinator facilitating your paperwork will follow up with you when it is time.
